I have really noticed how shiny the horses coats are and I really like the fact that the horses seem calm but have plenty of endurance.

I have changed my whole barn over to Chaffhaye and believe it will be the feed of the future. Since doing so, my horses have experienced greater health and performance. I truly believe my recent successes in both the hunter and jumper arenas are directly related to my use of Chaffhaye.

Within the Stepping Stone Program nutrition is very important to us. One of the Products we feed is Chaffhaye.

I love the product and have noticed the horses coats are looking great, the horses stay very level and consistent and stable both mentally and physically. I have noticed great moisture in the stool and improved muscle tone.

 

I'm always looking for a more natural way to feed and care for my horses. The regular hay we've been buying was so unpredictable - I don't even know where the local feed stores buy their hay. I saw Chaffhaye's ad in the California Horse Trader. I asked my husband, Mike, to investigate and soon he had some Chaffhaye in our barn to try. I have my eight horses and eleven of our boarders eating Chaffhaye. I love the storage aspect of Chaffhaye and the freshness. We haven't had any colic's since beginning Chaffhaye. My Levels horse, Vegas, was prone to gas colic. Her gas colic's have disappeared. The biggest change I have seen in my horses is their energy. I have a beautiful buckskin filly just turning two. She used to have a hay belly and little or no energy. Now I see her running and bucking when she's turned out during the day. Her play drive is way up! After 4 years of using Chaffhaye for our horses on our respective ranches: Three Bar S Ranch in Pioneertown, CA and Morning Star Ranch in Yucca Valley CA, owned and operated by Jill Endicott and myself, respectively, I felt it appropriate to tell you how very pleased we are in the results of feeding Chaffhaye to our animals. Over the four years of using Chaffhaye, we have gone through more than 2,700 bags of “Pasture in a Bag”. Our horses look and perform better than with traditional hay. There is no waste, less manure and the ease of storage has proven to be a big plus. Also, being in the desert causes some horses to colic on traditional dry hay, pellets or cubes. With Chaffhaye, we do not experience that problem.

We eliminated grain completely with our eight arabians about 1 year ago, switching them onto Chaffhaye plus MAC True Chelated vitamin/mineral supplement. We have various aged mares from weanling to 13yrs old, with one stud and our horses are more even tempered now & get along much better with us and attitude within the herd has greatly improved as they no longer get the starch & sugars from the grain. We even wean the babies onto Chaffhaye, along with MAC chelated vitamin/mineral supplements & Rice Bran Oil, and they develop evenly and have nicely developed lean muscle tissue. We bought a 2 year old Pintabian filly in July 2009 that out vet stated was about a 2 on the body score. We started with 1 pound Chaffhaye and 1/2oz rice bran oil, 4 times daily plus daily MAC Chelated vitamin/mineral supplements & free choice hay. Did this for 1 month and dropped down to 3 feedings daily in month 2, and by month 3 was on normal twice daily feeding of 3/4 pound Chaffhaye plus Chelated vitamin/mineral and 1 oz.Rice Bran Oil. Vet was out in January 2010 and hardly recognized her. She had gained over 300 pounds of, what the vet said was "quality" weight, distributed evenly, and grown 2 inches, nearly caught up to where she should be, would she not have been starved. No signs of developmental disease either. Vet was amazed! We feel Chaffhaye played a huge role in aiding her to recovery, not only so fast, but so remarkably & evenly!

I no longer worry about colic, dry coughing, hay blowing away to the neighbors or down my shirt, fires at the barn, moldy hay, sticks or dead animals in my hay. My husbands gelding is looking and feeling better than he has in a couple years without having to feed several supplemental grain products. My miniature horses and goats no longer have those ugly hay bellies and no wasted hay. Best of all, I can handle the 50 lb bales myself.

I am thrilled for making the decision to feed the Chaffhaye. I was the skeptical one that would say, "Horses need just good grass and alfalfa." I am also very particular of what I feed to my horses.

When I rescued my horse Reno, I made a promise to him that I would give him the best life that I possibly could. After feeding the Chaffhaye for just a few weeks, I use a combo of the grass/alfalfa; I have truly noticed that his coat is beautiful. His body shape and his coat condition are the best that they have been. It is really exciting. I think I am amazed, actually.

We are using the Chaffhaye with our Shetland pony’s and miniature horses. I can tell you this, they love it. You have a superior product and I can’t imagine anyone not realizing the benefits of Chaffhaye. I really shouldn’t share this with you because I consider using Chaffhaye as one of the secrets of my feeding program. But seriously, use this letter as you deem necessary as I only want the best for these little horses…no matter whose horses they are. Thanks for a great product.

 

Since feeding Chaffhaye, I noticed that the horses are not as hyped up, or overly kicking their heels up. They seem as though they come out and just want to be ready to work. They want to be a lot more accessible and trainable in lessons and workouts. Even the clients have noticed that when they get on their horses and ride them that they are more where they need them to be as far as in lessons. Their dispositions have improved; they seem to keep a better attitude. They seem calm, and a lot more focused while I train for the All-Around, in which I do virtually everything with them.

 

The results for my horses after one month are amazing! Here is just a sample of the improvements :

1.) Coat color, much improved quality and richness

2.) Weight gain without big bellies, very sleek and fit  even hard keepers /metabolic issues gain with out cresty necks,

3.) Performance: moving better, gaits freeing up (attribute this to reduction of inflamation in joints). Even two horses in rehab (swim programs)  gaining ground fast; workouts intense need to eat enough to build weight and muscle without inflamation worries. 

Our horses prefer chaffhaye to pasture, even follow the feed truck around to get their share of chaffhaye. I feed 50% grass and 50% alfalfa chaffhaye top dress of vitamins and minerals. Chaffhaye is very easy to balance diets due to consistent nutrition profile. We are saving money not only on feed bills, but less supplements are needed and no processed grains at all.
