Testimonials for Sheep and Goats

We have been using Chaffhaye for a little more than a year for our Nigerian Dwarf and Alpine dairy goats. We have noticed a remarkable improvement in overall health and productivity. I was looking for a long time for quality alfalfa hay for my goats, but with their sensitive digestive tracts and the cost to find quality dry hay, made it impossible to find anything that I satisfied my demands. I AM SATISFIED NOW!!! Chaffhaye is the ONLY hay we use as dry hay doesn’t even compare to the quality of this product! The added benefit of no waste just makes it that much more economical as well. Chaffhaye has been the best dry hay substitute for our animals. They have healthier coats, better milk production, recover quicker after kidding and just love eating their daily ration. We have even had three sets of quadruplets this year (2009), something we have never had before in the five years we have been raising goats. I am especially pleased because our goats compete in various goat shows in the spring and summer, including several state fairs, and I have had several people ask me what I feed our goats because they look so healthy. I brag all the time about Chaffhaye and the results we are seeing. Thank you!!

One of the premises of our management program is that nutrition is THE single most important part of an Angora goat program. Consistency in their ration is critical to producing top quality fleeces and allowing each animal to achieve its genetic potential. That's where Chaffhaye comes in and why we chose this product. 1) We were not satisfied with the quality and consistency of the alfalfa hay and alfalfa flakes are heck on fleeces! The animals love it, however, and it has great nutrition. 2) Chaffhaye is much more nutritionally available and digestible than baled alfalfa. The total digestible nutrient for good quality baled alfalfa runs between 38- 45%. Chaffhaye has 70-80% TDN. More protein with less volume is available to grow mohair with less clean up in the barn (which is raked at least once a day unless we are out of town). 3) Waste! Goats can waste about 30-50% of baled hay. Once it hits the ground they're done with it. Remember the rake the barn part? I've also got to put that stuff somewhere. 4) Cost! We are consuming Chaffhaye on a 1 to 3 ratio versus baled alfalfa, which makes it cheaper than feeding baled alfalfa in Southern Oregon. Plus we don't measure the cost simply on the cost of feed but the other economic costs as well. 5) Chaffhaye has no dust so there is less coughing for the goats and us. The goats don't bury their head in the feeder meaning less vegetable matter in the fleeces to clean later. 6) I am getting too old or too tired to buck 145 lb. bales of hay. The 50 lb. bags are so much easier to handle and quicker to put up in the barn. One 50 lb. bag is equal to a 145 lb. bale yet takes up only a third of the space which is nice if you are traveling with food. 7) The bags are sealed and can be stored outside and have a two year shelf life. Each bag is stamped with the put up date. The packaging method preserves the nutrition value where baled hay will loose nutritional value over time. (Not that we have much sitting around for that long!) 8) The Angora goats won the 2003 Black Sheep Cup (best five fleeces from a single breeder) for the first time in the history of the Black Sheep Gathering. Sierra Tahoe Angora Goats won the cup. They feed Chaffhaye to their Angoras.

During dry weather our goats are let out on the nice, big, green pasture to browse for the day. For our goats at home (because their pasture is not as big,) we provide them with Chaffhaye, "Premium Pasture in a Bag." They love this stuff and get it as a special treat, usually once a day. We are quite pleased with this product!

Our goats and lambs are on Chaffhaye 100% instead of coastal, and I must say, their condition has improved already. Both have lost their bloated hay bellies, and the goat's haircoat is getting softer and nicer daily.

My horses are eating it twice daily in conjunction with their coastal. At first, they stuck their noses up and wanted none of it. Within a 24 hr period, they tried it, and now they like it a lot! I am slowly increasing it, and will see how it affects them. But they definitely do want to eat it before they move to their coastal.

I think Chaffhaye is great! My daughter raises Nigerian dwarf goats and feeds Chaffhaye to them. They seem to be very healthy and active. We know several others that use Chaffhaye on a regular basis and say they get very good results feeding Chaffhaye to a variety of animals.

We strive to prevent disease through "natural" goat care. We'd rather spend our resources on prevention than on "cures". We believe that like humans animals are what they eat and drink. We also believe that like humans they are affected by their environment either positively or negatively. We feed alfalfa hay free choice. And we keep baking soda and sea salt out for them. We also post around a few high copper content mineral blocks with no sweetener in them. And of course plenty of fresh clean non-chlorinated well water. We feed alfalfa Chaffhaye as much as they will eat. In addition we add a mix of rolled oats, black oil sunflower seeds, between 12 and 20 different dried herbs (depending on the season) and extra virgin olive oil. Bucks and pregnant does get 1/2 lb. of this mixture once a day. We give our Does in milk up to 2 lbs.; depending on their weight and overall condition and milk production.

Our goats have access to about 3 acres of wooded browse and are protected by a pair of the finest LGD's to ever walk the earth, in our opinion of course. We have found that the blend of herbs along with the natural probiotics from the Chaffhaye go a long way to keeping their immune systems strong and healthy. We rarely have to use chemical wormers. When we do use them it's on goats that were born on farms that regularly use them. We switch these goats over to a natural lifestyle slowly so as not to shock their systems too much. We've noticed that they do respond and can be completely converted from chemicals when we take our time with them and keep them under strict observation. All that said we will do whatever it takes to assure and maintain the health and safety of our animals. So if a chemical or a shot is what is called for in a given moment... we'll do it.

Since starting my Boer goat herd on Chaffhaye alfalfa at end of last winter I have noticed an incredible improvement in their overall health and conditioning.  Also this was a hugely successful kidding season for me as well.  I had 19 does that kidded and all of them had a tremendous milk supply.  My kids were healthy and robust and I had a fantastic sales year as well.  I kept plenty of Chaffhaye available in the creep feeder for my young kids and I was thrilled that with 33 kids, I did not have problems with scours.  I believe that all the healthy probiotics in Chaffhaye helped with rumen development and supported a healthy gut.  I had a doe that suffered from horrible skin allergies and I am delighted to report that even with this hot and humid spring and summer we are having in Oklahoma, she is not having any problems.  Another big plus is I find that I do not have to worm my herd as often, even with all the rain and heat.  We had taken a beating with rains and flooding and anyone with goats knows that can be a parasite disaster.  I haven't even mentioned the ease of which Chaffhaye is fed and stored, and how much my goats LOVE it.  I am so impressed with the product, its high quality and the results I am getting with my goats.

Hi our little farm is in the southern hills of Arizona, where our afternoon temps go above 100 quite often.  We raise Alpine goats both for dairy and for packing. The ability to keep the weight on the goats, especially during their lactating cycle, is all but impossible. That was until we discovered your product CHAFFHAYE! WOW! What a difference your product has done for us. First the goaty or after taste you get from goat milk is totally gone, and so far gone we actually sell to a man who turns it into goat milk ice cream. What an excellent tasting product he makes. Second, we had a lactating yearling that was quite expensive and came down with a sickness 2 weeks before a AGDA goat show and we had decided to pull her out but doubled her feedings of CHAFFHAYE and she went to the show and did okay.  She is and has been gaining weight.  All of our goats love your product. One important need to know, is no matter how much the babies and or yearlings eat there is no worry of bloating I personally lost 2 championship quality does last year to alfalfa and a friend lost one last night. Know one seems to learn, but we are true believers in CHAFFHAYE.
Using CHAFFHAYE has increased our productivity by 22% and reduced our alfalfa bill by 25%.  Also all of our lactating does have increased their weight! One even gained 10lbs! It is very hard to put weight on a doe in milk. This is totally amazing! I have not told the world but, explained  what it does to for us to the feed store people and all they think is yea right as they continue to raise their bales as high as $12.50 a bale and no two the same. Anyway thank you for a product.  It is extremely easy to use, has medicinal factors not on your bag, but I surely have seen them work, all the animals love it, steers, cows, goats, horse, baby kids and yes even my 17 dogs have ventured a taste. One of my kids Stella, {STAR} runs loose during feeding and always ends up in your bags or the main feeder. With the goats, CHAFFHAYE slides through the first stomach and is already processed to move on to the next cycle resulting in less work for the animal, and higher yields for us. Alpine goats have a hard time producing any volume of milk after the temp rises over 80 degrees.

This year at the goat show even after telling other people about your product our goats had plenty of milk and we came home with 10 ribbons from Grand Champion to Best in Show! Now because we use CHAFFHAYE, our cheeses we now make, or I should say my wife makes, get rave reviews. She also makes yogurt and buttermilk and sour cream every bit BLUE RIBBON quality products. PS. We do not have a web site due to the dairy regulations, and do not wish to raise a flag. Our cheeses are top notch, and she has winery invites every week end. This is my daughter Amy with Canelo Prairie Abby, she is a yearling doe

We bred, raise and sell quality breeding and show goats.  We have been raising goats for over 30 yrs. Within that time we have raised both dairy and market goats. Through out the years we have tried a lot of feed.  Our "success" was met with Chaffhaye.  It's really amazing.  Within 20 days of switching to Chaffhaye I noticed we didn't have the waste that we had with baled alfalfa and our hay consumption was down while the goats body condition was actually much better. Chaffhaye is also easier for me to handle and store then bales, especially while traveling

We have been feeding Chaffhaye for several years now and have achieved many championships in the show ring. As breeders and competitors we need high quality feed with maximum nutrition.  That's what Chaffhaye has done for us. "We feed Chaffhaye to win".

Whether destined for the show ring or simply to be a pet, at Triple-T Ranch, we trust Chaffhaye "pasture in a Bag" to provide for the nutrional needs of our Tennessee Fainting Goats.  Our ranch's reputation is at stake in the show ring and as breeders of top quality Fainting Goats.  After switching from baled hay to Chaffhaye, we have found that there is less waste (good to the last stem) and no big hay bellies.  As a result, our goats remain "show ready" all year round.  With virtually nothing remaining after feeding, clean up is a snap too.  This is a great product!  From our experience, there's no question, Chaffhaye "Pasture in a Bag" is the best.

Hello,

My name is Maci Bossa and I would like to thank you for your wonderful product! This is the first year that I could actually feed hay and complete feed and not get that big BELLY! Last year I lost a wether because we never fed him any hay at all...and because his ruminant stopped working he died. These animals are grazers and with 4 stomachs they need that hay. Well our breeder got us started on the alfalfa chaffhaye...and wow what a big difference it has made with our show animals, not only do they LOVE it it keeps them from getting that belly that so many have from grazing on hay. AND it helps there ruminant to keep running and keep them healthy! My wether and doe won grand at our county fair. Again I want to thank you for saving my show animals! Now keep your fingers crossed for the big show that I am attending in March here in Oklahoma the worlds largest stock show OYE!!!!!! WOOO HOOO...

Thanks

We have been using Chaffhaye for a short time but with amazing results. This product does what it says!! There is no waste or at least very little. For us the savings from Chaffhaye to a bale of alfalfa hay is a huge. We can buy 2 bags of chaffhaye to 1 bale of hay and get more hay. We feed if to our breeding sheep (rams/ewes) and they love it. We are just waiting to feed to our lambs it should give them that extra boost they need.
